Limited Warranty
Pickups
Peak Guitars warranty all of its pickups to be free of component and manufacturing defects for life to the original purchaser. Should a problem arise return the pickup via registered mail and every effort will be made to repair or replace it free of charge as quickly as possible. The warranty is only valid to the original purchaser and is non transferable. The warranty does not cover damage through misuse or improper handling, normal wear to covers, installation changes or any form of modification or repair undertaken by anyone other than Peak Guitars. Responsibility for correct and safe installation of the pickup rests with the purchaser. If you are unfamiliar with wiring or have never fitted guitar pickups before please consult an experienced guitar repairer and get the pickup installed professionally. To activate the warranty, the warranty registration form must be completed and returned at time of purchase.
Guitars
Coverage
Peak Guitars warrants to the owner of a Peak guitar that the instrument will be free from defects in materials and workmanship that materially affect the structural integrity, or playability of the instrument under normal use for a period of five (5) years from the original date of purchase.
Exclusions
This Limited Warranty does not apply:
(a) to normal wear, ageing, or breakage of frets, strings, nuts, saddles, tuning machines, pickguards, finishes, pickups, or cases and case components (including handles, zippers, latches, or hardware);
(b) to damage caused by modification, misuse, neglect, accidents, acts of nature, or improper maintenance (Peak Guitars reserves the right to make this determination by inspection);
(c) to matters of personal taste or judgement, including tonal preferences, appearance of grain or colour, or other cosmetic aspects that do not materially affect performance;
(d) to cracks, splits, warping, or finish damage caused by accidents, temperature or humidity extremes, sunlight, moisture, perspiration, straps, stands, or hangers;
(e) to setups, adjustments, or routine maintenance;
(f) to any instrument that has been repaired or modified by someone other than Peak Guitars.
Remedies
Peak Guitar's obligations under this Limited Warranty are limited to repair or replacement of defective parts where the defect materially affects the structural integrity, playability, or tonal performance of the instrument. In no event shall Peak Guitars be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including, but not limited to, loss of time, income, or profits, or damage to property.
No Other Warranties
This Limited Warranty constitutes the sole warranty provided by Peak Guitars. No salesperson, dealer, agent, or employee is authorised to make any additional warranty or representation.
Claim Procedure
Unless notified in writing that warranty service may be carried out by a third party service centre, claims must be made by sending the instrument to Peak Guitars. The owner must include:
(a) proof of original purchase (such as a sales invoice or receipt);
(b) a description of the defect and how it affects the guitar’s performance;
(c) the owner’s name, address, and phone number.
Please contact Peak Guitars before shipping your guitar. Once inspected, the guitar will be repaired or replaced where appropriate and returned at the owner’s expense. If the issue is determined not to be covered, the instrument will be returned without repair, again at the owner’s expense.
Statutory Rights
This Limited Warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.
