About Lisa
Lisa’s fascination with guitar began at 8 years old and developed into an obsession for all things music theory and guitar-tone-related. She has been taught by some of the UK's best guitar tutors, including Jim Clark, Paul Hanness, and John Wheatcroft, who have worked with her to expand on her technique and tone. This led to her studying for a degree in Popular Music Performance, specialising in guitar theory and technique, with a focus on blues based rock and metal.​​​​​
Since graduating, Lisa has worked with numerous London-based artists, composers, and songwriters, across a range of genres including; Indie Pop and Rock, Jazz, Blues, Metal and Progressive Rock. Her collaborations include; Metal artist Grace Hayhurst, Progressive Rock singing-bassist and composer Ailen, Indie Rock singer-songwriter Sophie Kilburn, Neo-classical and Electronic media composer Liane Silva, and Indie Rock band Lusa Morena.
The playing and musicality of guitarists like Steve Vai, Jimi Hendrix, Guthrie Govan, and especially Nick Johnston and Jimmy Page, inspired Lisa's melodic playing and technical approach. Over the years, Lisa has gained particular affection to the Strat and Super Strat style of guitars, due to their versatility and range of tone. This led her to seek out Peak Guitars and her Jura model guitar, which has become an integral part of the way she constructs and shapes her tone across a wide range of projects.
